Hi my mom I was appaly for super visa March 30 with up front medical. Today may 16 they send me email they need passport scan colour copy when I submitted mom application I was send black and white passport copy I don’t no why they need colour scan copy

Although I have no real idea but possibly because for a start the passport bio page has a colour photo and the visa photo needs to be a colour photo so they need to be assured it is the same person visually . If one is not in color and the other is that would not be that easy to compare to validate ID of the applicant applying.

IRCC accepts black and white photographs for TRV applications.

But, like you've said maybe they want to compare the photographs on the TRV app with the one in the passport bio page
