Hi all

My father has submitted the Canadian Super Visa application to the Canadian visa office in HongKong since September and have received instructions to do the medical exam in end of September. However since he had toberculosis (30 years ago) in the past, Canadian visa offices has instructed him to go through further medical exam which take about 8 weeks to complete. The doctor has already sent his final report to the visa office in HongKong since mid. December, but so far he still hasn't heard anything regarding the result of the application. Has anyone has similar cases and how long usually takes from this point until everything is finalized? We sent an online inquiry to the visa office and they have not replied us at all! Sad

I takes a few weeks for medical results to be reviewed and there were a number of holiday days in December. I don't think it's all that suprising you having heard anything back yet. Give it another few weeks.

Thanks Scylla! Um...few weeks is 3-5 weeks range or 7-9weeks? And once this is done they will finalize the application?

I don't know if they will finalize the application at that point. It depends what the second medical tells them.

It's been 7 weeks since my father completed his part 2 of the medical exam. Still no news from Canada immigration visa office in HongKong regarding his supervisa application status. Is this normal? We are desperate! Anyone had similar situation?
