Hello Everyone,

I am planning to apply for my mother's super visa, and she would be submitting the paper based super visa application at Visa Application Office (VAC) in Karachi, Pakistan.

On CIC website I have questions regarding following requirements

a) an invitation from a Canadian host

1- Does it have to be notarized ( I am in Mississauga) ???

b) provide a written statement from that child or grandchild that he or she will give you financial support

1- Is this some kind of affidavit, and is this different from invitation letter?
2- What would be the contents of such a written statement for financial support ?
3 - Where can I get such a letter ?

c) have valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year.

1- Please advise which insurance company to look for ?
2- Can I simply apply for medical insurance online or I need to visit the insurance company ?

I would really appreciate your response. If the above questions have been answered on this forum then I would really appreciate if any one of you could forward me the link.

Thanks & Best Regards,

I am not sure about the first two questions and it is better be someone who has a clue to advise on that matter.

As for the medical insurance for the Super Visa:

Yes, you can buy it on-line. Just use an On-line Super Visa Medical Insurance Calculator to compare the rates from different Canadian insurance companies.

Hope it somewhat helps. ;D

you would provide the written statement for financial support in the invitation letter itself. Evidence for financial support is provided through your NOA or Option C.
Invitation letter is not mandatory to be notarized - if you take an oath in front of a commissioner, it becomes a legal document.
There are invitation letter templates in this forum.

You can find an example of the invitation letter here
As far as insurance, you can definitely buy it online. All insurance companies now sell their plan online and you get the policy by email within seconds. You can take a look at all the rates from all the Canadian companies at arbetovinsurance.com.

Thank you everyone for your response.

Hi Xenon,

My tax filing would be due next year therefore would not be having NOA or option C. However, I do have salary slips of 3 months and job contract. I moved to Canada for good in July first week and have been employed since then. Hopefully, my salary slips, job contract letter and probably bank statement would be considered as evidence of financial support.

Regards,

Would warn you that if they are perhaps Syrian, given your recent private sponsorship, your parents will have difficulty being approved. It will be assumed that they will apply for asylum when they arrive. To get approved they need to show that they don’t have plans to remain longterm.
