Biometrics are good for 10 years. They can enter on their TRV but will need to exit Canada and return to initiate a supervisa. Assume they should get their medical request soon.

Hi i applied for supervisa for my parents and it is in processing, and they also have a valid visitor visa so they travelled to Canada. Now they are inside Canada, so my concern is when super visa is approved, then do they have to go back to India or it can be done from inside Canada ??

I have applied my parents super visa in March 2020 , biometrics done March 2020, medical request received Sep 2020, medical passed oct 2020. We did not hear anything from ircc since then. Plz advice what we should do.

Biometric submitted 11-Aug, For Co-applicant it shows "Biometric Completed". For Primary applicant it shows biometric ID, date and expiry, but under the status it says "please submit biometric, per request letter". This is the status since 11-Aug-21. No update ever since! I thought this might be a glitch was the case with my PR appl and my in-laws visitor visa appl. Thoughts or relevant experiences?

Update: Decision made 25-May-22 for my mother alone, she got the visa stamped within 1 week by 1-June-2022. My father's application is still processing, partly due to his fingerprints were not completely captured. GCMS Notes says that prints were cracked due to natural ageing but they are unable to satisfy background check. However he passed away 2 weeks prior to mother's application got approved. It is very surprising and lucky (for mother) at the same time.

• Submission Confirmation August 23, 2021
• Biometrics Collection Letter August 24, 2021
• Biometrics completed August 27, 2021
• Passed medical exam September 8, 2021

Since the medical exam is only valid for 1 year, my dad redid it on November 7, 2022

• Passed medical exams March 21, 2023
• Correspondence Letter April 10, 2023
• Original Passport Request April 25, 2023

We have been waiting since then. I am contemplating re-applying using the new IRCC portal. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks all.

Updated the timeline for my dad! The application was approved! I did not reapply through the new IRCC portal.
