Hi,

I will soon be working in Canada on a work permit and later I would like to invite my parents on a super VISA. So I would like to get ahead of this issue if any.

My issue is that my mother's name has a mistake in just one letter in her name, an 'a' instead of a 'e'. This mistake is present in all of my documents from my birth certificate, education certificates and passport. Her name is the same on all my documents. But in her passport it is correct. My brother would also be in Canada has the correct spelling.

My questions:

1) What do I have to do for the super visa. Would a affidavit be required or a LOE be sufficient. Or do I need to change the name in my documents. Passport and birth certificate is possible but in my education certificates it is near impossible. Then there would be a discrepancy in my documents if I do change it in passport and the birth certificate.

2) How would this effect to prove siblings later. Would the solution for the number 1 be good for this aswell?

Thank you very much for your time.

Hi Arbmf.p,

Am in same situation. Am planning to apply super visa for my parents. Did you get any information regarding this? Please kindly share.

normally it takes around around a year to qualify for a supervisa. You must show that you earned above the LICO amount in Canada Usually by showing your NOA.

Thanks Canuck78 for your reply.

I was wondering what should we do if the spelling of parent's name are not matching with our passport and their passport? In this case how we proceed to apply for super visa?
