Hi.

i have two questions:

1. if parents are visiting second time on super visa. They do not need to intend to live full year or two. Do they still need to have one full year medical insurance mandatory when they enter Canada?

2. Second question for first timer super visa parents [this is on behalf of someone else] - Parents have obtained super visa. When they travel, what if they don't buy insurance. Will they denied to enter in canada?

Regards

1. Its most likely, they will be given 6 months stay instead of the full 2 years like they did for the first entry. They will still need to show proof of medical insurance whenever they enter.

2. Super Visa parents must provide proof of medical insurance as CBSA officers will ask as it is one of the mandatory requirements.

Maybe I am missing something here but why would anyone come to Canada as a visitor without insurance unless they were extremely rich should the worst happen ? Better to spend a few dollars relatively than potentially thousands should any unfortunate health episode happen.

Because they think, like many, nothing will happen to them
