Super Visa Rejection Letter

Hi,
I applied for my in-laws super visa on April 15, 2017. Today, I received the rejection letter with only one reason ticked off i.e. " The Head of Family has not complied with requests for information from partners in relation to his military career. As a result the admissibility of the applicant and his family (Spouse) is in question". Here is what I want help with:

1- While filing online super visa application, I completed all military details mentioned\required above. I don't know what does this rejection reason mean and what additional information they are asking for. My Father-in-Law is a retired military personnel for a long time. Can someone help me understanding this?
2- Should I go to court of justice for appeal or simply re-apply. Your thoughts?
3- The only reason of rejection ticked off in rejection letter is mentioned above. There is nothing else ticked off. Is it safe to consider that only that one thing caused rejection. If I satisfy this requirement (whatever that is), what are the chances the visa officer will not reject with any other reason(s).

As your father-in-law is a retired military personnel, IRCC had sought information/details from him as part of a background check. This request for additional information was made after he had applied.

You can email the visa office to let them know you did not receive any request for additional information in the MyCIC account (if that's the case).

No, appealing is expensive and will not work.

You can also order case notes to see what additional information was sought + the date when it was sought

Agreed with the above. CIC sent a request for more information after the application was submitted (either by email or mail) to your father-in-law. He didn't respond to that additional information request - so the application was refused. Nothing to appeal.

Thanks for your valuable advice. I have taken up the case with my local MP, because we didn't received any additional information request from CIC through any known communication channels. However, I have couple of more questions:

1- In case I re-apply next week, does the existing e-medical and boimetrics prevails or do my in-laws have to undergo fresh medical and biometrics.
2- The medical insurance which I had purchased for my in-laws, do I have to cancel it and get a new one.

I recommend you don't reapply. Please wait until the visa office responds to your email. Hope you've informed them that you didn't get any request for additional documents.

Medicals are valid for 12 months.

They need to give their biometrics each time they apply for a visa.

2- The medical insurance which I had purchased for my in-laws, do I have to cancel it and get a new one.

If the medical insurance covers the dates of their intended visit then you won't have to get a new one

Have you checked your spam folder for emails? We see a lot of people here claim they weren't contacted - but then later they find the email in their spam / trash folder.
