Super Visa Re-entry

Hi guys,
I'm preparing to apply super visa for my mom. She just renewed her passport in order to get a 10 year super visa. Here's my questions.

1. If she gets a 10-year-super visa and stays for 1 or 2 years for her first visit on super visa, what will be the process for the next entry to Canada? Some people say that I have to apply again every 2 years, exactly the same process. Is that true? If so, why do they say the super visa can be valid up to 10 years?

2. These days, people are getting through the automatic self check-in process at the airport when they are coming in, do super visa holders need to see the immigration officer whenever they come to Canada?

3. What about the medical insurance? Is it necessary to purchase the private medical insurance whenever they come to Canada? One of my friends said that purchasing the insurance for the first one year would be good. They can keep coming back and forth freely without the insurance. I want to make it sure.

Others can coment/correct

1)Super visa is a multi entry visa so no need to apply again.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=426&top=16

2)Super visa same as any visitor visa does not guarantee entry each time that decision is still upto a CBSA officer a visitor has to face who will determine entry and how long on each entry

3) You cannot really seriously be considering someone coming to Canada without any insurance whether is a requirement or not ?

See this post below as a warning on the potential consequences of having either not enough cover or no cover at all. Nobody who is a visitor to Canada should ever come without any insurance at all, what might be good for a friend does not make it right

Thanks for your reply.
My concern is that my mom doesn't speak any of English. Maybe I can prepare on a paper stating about her.
Secondly, for each entry does she have to have all updated required documents to show to the CBSA officer?
As for the insurance, she already has a couple of insurance policies from her home country. I just don't want to waste money for additional insurance.

It is unlikely that any insurance policy from her country will cover her for 2 years in Canada. She needs travel insurance for Canada.

With a supervisa she has to have insurance in Canada. It isn’t optional. There is actual supervisa policies to purchase.

Thank you for sharing.
During the RE-entries, should the traveler buy his/her insurance (minimum) for a year? Because, I read in the forum that the immigration officer decides how long the traveler could stay in Canada, irrespective of the intention of the traveler.
My in-law is planning to fly re-enter next month, and I am not sure if I should buy the 100k-Canadian-Medical-Insurance for just 6 months or a year.
Please advise.

They should show that they have insurance for the year. If they leave early they usually can get reimbursed. 6 month entry is for normal visit visa not Supervisa.

Thank you. Yes; I am going to purchase the 1 year insurance for 100K from a Canadian insurance provider. However, for re-entering super visa holders, is there any specific timeframe granted for their stay (i.e., 1 year or 1 y and 6 mo or 2 years)? Would they question the traveler to determine how long the stay to grant at the port of entry?

Usually 2 years as long as long as they have spent a decent amount of time in their home country before returning.

She entered Canada on Dec 2018 with her supervise for the first time (with the intention to stay at least an year); but, since her mother passed away, she flew back in 4 months (March 2019). Now she is going to fly in Nov 2021. Would she be granted 2 years/ it still be dependent on the officer who will be at the border?
