Super visa question

Hi,

My parents both have tourist visas that are valid until 10/2023. Can they apply for the Super Visa while their visitor visas are still valid or do they need to wait for them to expire before they can apply?

Can I apply for Supervisa, if the intended duration of stay is only 2 months? or is it suggested to apply for TRV?

Yes, they are. So am I currently, but will be back in Canada before they apply if need be.
