My dad arrived in canada yesterday 08/18/2020, and his super visa will expire on 08/20/2020.
The visa was in his old passport that will expire the same date as the visa. But he has his new passport that will expire in 2030. They just stamped it with the date of his arrival which is yesterday.

How long can he stay as a PG-1 holder?
Should he leave tomorrow?

So CBSA just stamped the passport with the arrival date , they did not stamp and put a date in the future

The Supervisa is only valid until the passport expiry date and cannot be attached to his new passport, you must make a new Supervisa application.
If they didn't put an exit date in the passport it usually allows the holder to stay for 180 days.

That’s incorrect

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/examination-admission-port-entry.html

If parents and grandparents who possess the temporary resident super visa or letter of introduction have a stamp in their passport with no handwritten date, or if they have no stamp, then the period of authorized stay is 2 years from the date of entry.
