Not sure if the question is addressed to me, but we gave the generic reason of visiting family for emotional support. duration 9 months.
P.S. Good previous travel history on visitor visas to Canada and Europe and also had USA visitor visa.

My mom sent her passport 3 weeks back and there hasn't been any updates yet, so trying to understand if this is normal.

Hi, the passport was shipped after 4 weeks, and was delivered the very next day. In all around 30-32 calendar days from pickup to delivery.

Not yet and I agreed with the timeline of 30-34 days nowadays. For me, it was reached to IRCC on Mar 03, so, I am expecting it to be back somewhere around April 05-10.
