Super Visa Medical Question

Hello!

We are thinking of applying for a super visa for my 70 year old mother in law from india. I was wondering what types of things they are looking for in the medical exam. Naturally, she is 70, so minor problems are there, blood pressure and some minor heart issues etc. Do these things prevent one from getting medical clearance. Or are they only looking for some specific or major ailments?

I've read that it's the usual blood, urine test, chest X-rays etc,,, but what are they looking for exactly? Super visas were implemented for parents and grandparents, who in all cases are aged, so some health problems will surely be present.

I am just asking so that if possible, maybe my mom in law can have those issues looked at before applying.

Thanks a bunch!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
They are looking for HIV and any infectious viruses including tuberculosis bacteria - that is just one example. There are too many infectious diseases in parts of this world and the Canadian public need to be safeguarded from them.

Thank you for your reply!
So how about minor heart conditions? Would they refuse medical clearance if a person has been treated in the past for heart condition? My mother in law had stents put in a few years back. But she's feeling perfectly fine now.

Dukhi,

I think no medical is required if you are asking to visit for less than 6 months.
