Super Visa from within Canada- possible?

Its possible to apply supervisa while in Canada on valid visa and my parents got it from CPP-Ottawa.
Time line:
Application reached on 21st Aug 2013
Passport returned with supervisa on 15th Jan 2014

would it be possible to ask for some details/steps on how this application was lodged?
did it require an extension of stay while waiting for the processing of the visa?

are you from a country that requires a visa to enter?

is it just the same documents and process except sent over to cpp-ottawa?

did you need to do an extension while waiting for counterfoil visa?

Hello sbhusan,

Can you tell whether the application for supervisa was filed online. You would have also submitted IMM5708. Could you tell what option you chose for Question 3 in IMM5708. Following options are available for this question.
a.Extension of my temporary resident visa
b.Restoration of temporary resident status as a visitor
c.Initial temporary resident permit or extension of temporary resident permit

I'm facing a particular problem while applying online for super visa which is posted in the following thread
