Super visa denied- please help

My mom applied for a super visa but unfortunately her application was denied due to the following reasons:

1)I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income and assets, to carry out your stated purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.

2)You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your/your host's income and assets.

My mom submitted the following:

1) Bank Statements stating a cash deposit of CAD 6,796. How much would be the amount to be considered as sufficient?
2) Assessor's declaration re: that my mom is a part owner of the land where her house is located. the land title is under the name of her father (deceased.both my grandparents are deceased). The house is under my mom's name per Assessor's declaration.
3) Letter of invitation and support from me and my husband.
4) Contract of employment of me and my husband. We submitted scanned copy.

Please advise. We are planning to re apply for my mom's super visa as soon as possible.

Hi,

Do you meet LICO?

Also, you have not submitted key documents for the super visa:
1. Your recent NOA/T4/bank statement/investments

2. Proof of purchase of Canadian insurance with minimum coverage of CAD 100,000 for one year

3. Proof of relationship (your birth certificate stating your mom's name)

Cheers

Hi Bryanna,

Yeah, I believe that combining my income and my husband's, we meet the LICO requirement. We also submitted the NOA and pay stubs. We did'nt submit bank statements though because we don't have huge daily average cash balance and since it's not included in the list of requirements I was thinking that it might have a negative effect to my mom's application. We arrived here in Canada a year ago. I've got work last January 2015. My husband worked as permanent part time starting Nov 2014. He resigned in Aug 2015 because he was hired by another employer as permanent full time. We submitted scanned copy of our contract of employment. Can that be one of the reason for the refusal?
We also provided a copy of her medical insurance (for CAD 100,000.00) good for 1 year. We also submitted my birth certificate and our marriage contract.

I am also thinking if the letter of invitation and support that the office of Member of Parliament provided us be one of the reason of refusal. Indicated in the letter that I am the sponsor. My husband co signed it. Should the letter must indicate my name & my husband's name that will be sponsoring my mom's travel?

Do you have any idea, how much money should be in bank of the applicant?

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your comment. It brings hope to me.

Hi,

You and your husband's income must meet the LICO for 3 persons (yourself + your husband + your mom..... I'm assuming you do not have any children) ie CAD 36,520.

For a super visa, the host's financial assessment matters more than the visitor's financial situation. Hence, you must prove that you have the finances to support your mom's visit. This includes submitting your bank statements/investments, etc.

You should submit an original letter from your husband's new employer stating the title/salary/job description + recent pay stubs.

If you do not meet LICO (on your own), your husband can be the co-signer. So the Invitation Letter (co-signed with your husband) must confirm financial support to your mom for the duration of her visit + accommodation + airfare
