Super Visa - declined in error income support question

My husband recently applied for a supervisa online for his mom in Egypt. Despite the fact that we included a letter of invitation from both of us and proof of income from both of us (Notice of assessments), he was declined as not meeting the cutoff.

It's like they didn't even bother reading my information, which in both cases was combined into a single document with his (one file with his letter and then mine, and one with his NoA and then mine). The embassy in Cairo has, of course, been extremely unhelpful in resolving the issue.

We're willing to reapply, but I don't know how to make sure that it doesn't just happen again.
1. Has anyone ever had this happen and then reapplied successfully?
2. Is there a better way to present the information so my letter and income aren't ignored?

I would appreciate any suggestions - this has been very frustrating for us.

In my personal opinion such immigration application like the super visa it would be better if you could see an immigration lawyer in Canada.
So that you can do some consultation on your situation, and get some feedback to determine where your issue is.
If you decided to re-apply its also a good idea to have the lawyer review your papers, as he can at least make sure you are not missing anything.

There is no need to hire a lawyer, as preparing the Supervisa form and supporting documents is a relatively simple and straightforward exercise.

Malak11, I'm not sure what you meant when you said you included "his letter, then yours". Did you include a single cover letter from both of you stating your combined income? In my experience, the cover letter is the most critical document and represents your opportunity to explain not only what you are applying for, but any peculiarities of your situation and application. In the cover letter, you should mention what your combined income is, and say that you have included two separate NOA's.

As torontosm got confused reading your post; I got too. Notice the bold text you wrote, I couldn't determine if you submitted one letter or not.

To the best of my knowledge,

Your invitation letter should be ONE signed by both of you stating clearly that your guys meet LICO jointly (in terms of family income). You can notarize the letter if your visa office in Egypt prefers so. You can also include both of your current employment letter (with salary) along with recent year's NOA.

Your side of docs should be in this order:
1. Single invitation letter (signed by both of you and notarized if recommended)
2. Copy of PR cards/citizenship cards (both sides from both of you)
3. Copy of your husband;s birth ceritificate
4. NOA's (2013) (both of you)
5. Employment letters (both of you)
