Hi I am going to apply for my (just 1 parent) mothers super visa as an individual sponsor, my income eligibility is way above the minimum requirement.

My wife is separately applying for both her parents super visa, she meets the cutoff but she clears the cutoff with a smaller margin also she is sponsoring both parents.

We are confused if I should be co sponsoring my wife's parents (my in laws) , and if I do , will it impact my mothers application ?

As even though these are 2 separate applications I will be technically sponsoring 3 people ( my mother and my wife's parents but in 2 separate application). will that be a problem ?

Thanks

You also include your spouse in LICO. Assume you don’t have children.

For your mother, it is 3 people. (You, spouse, mother)
For your wife, it is 4 people. (Wife, you, her parents)

If you co-sign then, it is 5 (you, wife, your mother, her parents)

Hi imsherlocked,

I am in a simmilar situation that I am sponsoring my mother, and my wife is sponsoring her parents. We are discussing whether to do it as a co-sponsorship for bith our application. If she doesn’t take co-sponsorship i think she misses the income cut off for family size of 4 by just a little margin.
Did you guys end up doing a co-sponsorship?
I am wondering if there are any consequences of doing a co-sponsorship. Could you share if you have learnt anything regarding that?

The family size is not 4 if co-sponsoring. Should be you, your wife, your mother and your wife's parents = 5.

Thats is right, family count would be 5 for both our applications, if co-sponsoring. I am trying to figure out if we co-sponsor are we liable for our in laws? If so in terms of what are we liable exactly?

Hello everyone
I want to apply for a super visa for my parents, and I am self-employed. My gross income, along with my spouse’s, is $70,000, which meets the LICO requirement. However, our total income on the Notice of Assessment (NOA) shows $30,000. My question is, which of these income figures is important according to IRCC? Because the total income on the NOA does not meet the LICO threshold. If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate it if you could share it.

You wrote off 40k in expenses so technically that should mean you don’t actually make 70k which is why 30k is income considered for LICO. Assume like most you took advantage of anything you could technically write off lbut that has consequences both positive and negative. You pay less taxes, get more benefits but don’t qualify for supervisa or PGP.
