Hello Friends
I applied Super visa for parents to New Delhi Visa office on May 26 . Sent the package through bluedart. The package was delivered the next day.
But havent received any information so far- on medicals or anything else. Is this normal? I heard medical usually is sent within 2 weeks.

Is there any way to track the application? I am worried as the original passports and other documents are sent along with the package.
Please help!
kris

Visa offices are being affected by a strike. Normally processing times do not apply right now.

Still the The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas. including india

Thanks a lot for the response.
What is surprising is that i sent 2 packages together. one for parents and other for another relative ( i just sent the package on their behalf).
The other one got medicals the next week and got the stamped visa with in one month of submission.

How could this happen. One got processed and the the other did not even receive medical?

its in the hands of the immigration/visa officer.

Hope so. But is there a way to figure out if they have received the application and being processed. I just want to be sure that the passports are safe.

I checked with the Bank and they confirmed that the DD has been en cashed. It is going to be 2 months and no medical. Is this normal?

Again, there's a strike affecting visa offices right now. So normal processing times and experiences don't apply.

So to answer your question - no this is not normal. It's very likely due to the strike. Unfortunately all you can do is wait.
