Hello Friends,

I was wondering if I can get some assistance in my situation. I am a PR landed 2 years ago and single and my income as per current NOA is enough to invite parents for Supervisa (not last year income). My parents already have Tourist visa but never travelled to Canada before. I am interested in applying for Supervisa for them. Please guide:

1.Whether I can apply for SuperVisa solely on the basis of current NOA (showing income of 2016-17)?

2.I am getting married in 6 months from now and the moment I file for my spouse sponsorship, I’ll be ineligible to invite my parents because then my income would be lesser as per LICO Income Threshhold.
So is it a better idea to apply now?

Please guide.

SuperVisa is a tourist visa under which your parents can stay for a max of 2 years at a time. That is the only difference from tourist visa.

Now, since your parents already have tourist visa, I believe you can still apply for supervisa.

All CIC needs is the current NOA. If you have more it is better but current should suffice.

Medical passed and file in process.

Its going to be like 9 weeks this Friday, Super visa is supposed to be faster and 8 weeks maximum time for the result and my status hasn't changed at all.

Application status: We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Whats taking them so long? I was planning to invite my mother inlaw in first week of April and still no update till now. Waiting and waiting

Online applications are apparently sent to a global queue, not to the applicants country, so the time lines on CIC are kind of deceptive, I am a feb applicant, no news at all so far either. While I know cases of paper super visa applications which were processed in 2 weeks.

Any online Super Visa applicants from this year? Any outcome so far? Or stil "In Progress" ? I wonder if CIC has put a pause on online super visas for the moment.

Btw CIC says online applications are routed to central application pool, so the whole "X days for Y country" won't even apply for online applications I guess as any office can pick up your application, for e.g. if ottawa were to pick it up the processing time is 3 months. 3 months is a long time for a stupid visit visa with an extended stay (which is exactly what super visa is).

So I still have a loooong way to go. My misery with CIC never ends. CIC keeps stopping to a new low every year.

The only problem I have is why present false timelines? BTW, they have increased the official timeline from New Delhi office to 76 days. At this rate we are looking at end of April, May 1st week.

WE applied online for super visa on Jan 27 .

We got the medical request literally the next day (jan 28 ) and after CIC is nowhere to be seen.

I still wonder why it would take 2 months to process a super visa!

It is just the online applicants that are stuck. Looks like they are busy with something else. While paper based applications are being processed in 2-3 weeks max.

Hi all,

I seek you prompt assistance in finding answers to the below questions :

1- I want to apply Supervisa for my parents, but I dont have a house/appartment,I am subleting a room as my wife and kids are out of Canada as well, should I find my own place first then apply for super visa, or exlplain in the invitation letter that once the visa is approved I will get my own place to host my parents.

2-how much my annual income will be if I am making 31.5/Hr ,work is 40 Hours per week..?

3- my wife works out of Canada, can she co-sign the sponsorship along with me for my parent super visa,she also have PR card or only those who work inside Canada can co-sign.

4- my kids TRV will expire in 3 months,if I apply first for my parents supervisa ,then apply for TRV renewal will that complicate either applications at time of processing.
