Hey congratulations!
Did your mum pay Rs. 3000 for the premium lounge service at that time? If yes, then this service won't cover the 2-way courier service. PL service only covers 1-way courier.
I'm sure you know the standard 2-way courier service charge is around Rs. 1000 per passport.

The visa office email says they will take 14 days to stamp and return the passport after they receive the complete passport package.
Thank you for the quick response.
What's the point of paying that amount - if it's not a 2 way courier service, when my mother paid that amount at the VFS center during biometrics, the VFS person told her that this service is for 2 way.

For those who want to know more about the 2-way courier service by the visa offices in India, here is all the detail.

1. Receive the PPR letter from IRCC.

2. Go to this website link:

https://vfs-cic.mioot.com/forms/PS/

3. Fill out the webform and enter the required info.

4. Once submitted, you will receive an email having the payment link in it within 2-3 days. Please keep an eye on your email, because once received, the email payment link will only be valid for 12 hours. If passed 12 hours, you will have to submit the webform (step 2 above) again and wait for another link. Doesn't hurt in any way, but takes extra time.

5. You may receive more than one email with a payment link in it. Make sure you only pay once. Even if you try to pay once again, you won't be able to. The link will say your payment has already been received.

6. Pay for the service. The fee is approx Rs. 1000 INR per passport. (In case of more than one applicant, you will need to pay for them separately.)

7. After the payment, you will receive another email with an AWB number in it. This AWB will serve as a tracking number for your passport package to the visa office.

8. Keep your passport package ready and sealed. You must make separate packages for each passport, even if all the applicants live at the same address. The mandatory documents are:
i) Passport (I dare you to not include this!;))
ii) Consent form (complete and signed), provided by the visa office in the email.
iii) Courier and SMS form (complete and signed), provided by the visa office in the email.
iv) Passport submission letter (PPR letter/Golden email letter, whatever you may call it) provided by IRCC.
If required, they might ask you for any extra documents. But the ones above are mandatory.

9. Write this at the center on the envelope for the 'To.' address.
To,
The officer,
VFS Global Canada.

The exact details will be provided in your email.

10. Write your full name, address, phone, AWB number and the application number at the 'From' address.

11. Soon you will be contacted by the Blue Dart courier. They will come to the address that you mentioned in the webform to pick your passport up.

12. You will need to give the above AWB number to the courier service guy. And they will send the package to the visa office.

13. Your job is done here. Now, take a 'Cutting Chai ki pyaali'.:) Just relax and wait patiently till the passport comes back with the visa stamped on it. They say it will take around 14 days to stamp and return the passport after they have received the completed package with all documents.

14. You can track the courier using your AWB number here.
https://www.bluedart.com/tracking

Hope it helps.
I see that one of the pages on the consent form has the following - any idea what to be filled here?
Consent for Indirect Submission and/or Collection (to be completed ONLY if travel agent or person other than applicant themselves is submitting and/or collecting the visa application and decision) I give my consent to the Canada Visa Application Centre in (City, Country) to receive/give my documents from/to _____________. Name of Person to submit an application or collect the decision on my behalf: _________________________________________________________________ Relationship to Applicant: Applicant Signature: ____________ Date: _______________________________

Hi All,
I had applied for parents' Super Visa in April and completed Biometrics in August. No update since then even after raising webform citing family unification.
I am thinking of re-applyin on new portal.
My question is about the fees.
Will the fees of the earlier application be refunded?

Did you applied through IRCC portal or using the gckey? I applied back in April 2021, biometric completed in August but still no update.

This was shared by someone and it helped me so here it is:

1. Get the invite code
https://ircc.canada.ca/visit-visiter/en/get-account-ircc-portal

2. Create an account and sign in using account created
https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en

3. Once you log in, make sure you choose this option for Super Visa

Are we supposed to apply from IRCC or using gckey? I applied for my parents back in april 2021 using gckey account. Has anything changed with the application process?

GCKEY. I'd suggest to re apply in this case - if you haven't seen any update since September.

We did the mistake of not doing Medicals upfront. We had to wait till IRCC asked for the medicals after biometrics are completed.

Thanks Abhiancha. I feel so upsetting now that I missed this. We are having out first baby in Jan 2022 and I really wanted my parents to be here. Damn it covid... I will re-apply through IRCC right away.

Thank you for the quick response.
What's the point of paying that amount - if it's not a 2 way courier service, when my mother paid that amount at the VFS center during biometrics, the VFS person told her that this service is for 2 way.
Exactly. Doesn't make sense. That's why my parents contacted the VFS. They said that the lounge service is when they come for the biometrics, and they have these helping people there who can assist the applicants in filling out the forms, making photocopies, etc. But the courier service is only 1-way, as they said. For the 2-way service, you have to pay separately.

My parents didn't know that too and paid these silly worthless fees. Actually, the VFS people misguide all parents regarding this. They only want to do more business out of it. They know that most parents in India don't know the exact procedures, and they will definitely pay for whatever is asked, just out of the fear that their application would get stuck or will have problems. So, the parents don't argue and just pay the fees to get over with it. The lounge service is what I call a 'lousy' service. Complete waste of money. I'd suggest other people please do not fall for that, unless absolutely necessary.
