For anyone that is curious about timelines on WP extension, I applied January 14 and was approved February 10. Closed WP, LMIA-exempt. Hopefully this gives some hope to those still waiting.

My wife's SOWP was approved yesterday and the approval letter was uploaded on the account today. I understand that the official permit will arrive in the mail.
My question is can we apply for a new SIN now? Or do we have to wait for the document before we can do that so that she can resume her work?
