Hi All,

we have received the WP extension application back with a letter requesting that we pay the correct fees. Apparently we paid 100 CAD instead of 255 CAD. they asked that we pay the remaining amount online and share back the full pack via mail since it's a paper application.

It stated clearly that review of eligibility was not made yet,

Do you think that's a potential approval to the WP extension?

Application was received in office on 28th Sep 2020
WP expired on 19th Oct

should we have applied with a different application of restoration other than IMM5710?

Would be nice if anyone can share feedback if they have been in similar situation?

No, it is likely that your application has not been processed/reviewed yet because the visa officer check the payment status of every application before start processing the application. Therefore, no question of approval or refusal yet.

Happy new year. I need some urgent information. Request you to please respond to the query. I have got the Work Permit extension (LMIA Exempt Intra company transfer) and I am now looking forward to apply for TRV. Could anyone please let me know what all documents are required from our side in order to complete the application ? Kindly respond.

IMM5257, WP, Passport, Employment letter. Not sure if you already started the application online. The system will automatically guide the required doucments.

hi everyone, after you got your work permit extension, should we apply for the visa even it has not yet expired? mine will expire in february, can i submit my visa application now or till it expires?

i just found that (once you got your new work permit extension, you can submit you TRV)

At present, processing time is around 42 days for TRV, I would suggest to apply 30 prior o expiry if you have all the relevant documents

I don't think you can apply prior to expiry for visa extension. Refer the earlier link, it clearly says "your existing visitor visa is expired or was valid for only one entry"

You can apply for a visitor visa from inside Canada if you meet all the conditions below:

• you’re already in Canada
• you hold a valid study or work permit
• you want to leave and return to Canada in the near future
• your existing visitor visa is expired or was valid for only one entry

i applied SOWP on 3rd january 2020 still waiting they moved my file to CPC EDMONTON for further processing
