Hi all,
I'm currently on a BOWP waiting for my PR application to be approved.
My BOWP expires in 2 months and I applied two days ago for an extension. I got an automated letter with 45 days extension. The letter says the following:

Please attach this letter to your present work permit Number XXXXXXXXX as proof that you are authorized to continue working with the same conditions (ie: employer and occupation) until February 27th 2021 or until a decision is made on your application, whichever is first. This extended period of work is authorized as per subsection 186(u) of the Immigration and RefugeeProtection Regulations. If you leave Canada before a decision is made on your application, youwill no longer be authorized to continue working.


Did anyone received something similar?
Does that mean that I have to stop working on February 27th 2021 if I do not get an answer from the CIC before that date?

I have applied PR from inside Canada and my spouse visa is expiring in december, i am eligible for BOWP but is my spouse also or not? I am primary applicant.

Hello guys

I applied on July 22 (on paper)- PWGP extension due to passport renewal.

I just logged in to my profile and (surprisingly) my application was approved. I don’t know how the hell.. given the processing times

timelines:

application sent: July 20 to CPC Edmonton
Application received: July 21
Correspondence letter: oct 22 (today) biometrics updated

Application approved: October 22, 2020

Total 3 months

I was hoping to get the PR soon as I was only pending biometrics and then to withdraw this WP application and get my money back. However, it’s great to have the peace of mind to have a valid work permit until next year.

Chances are if you applied before me, Yours will come soon!

did you receive ppr on the same day of biometric correspondence letter?

Today my spouse application status changed to below status. She applied work permit extension on June 12th 2020.Hopefully she will get status in couple of days.

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Any update? can you please share time line of your application (Biometrics, medical , biometric correspondence letter and so on )
