Work experience query

Hello Everyone,

I need some expert advise with my express entry profile. First of all the following is my work experience:

1.) July 2011 - Aug 2012 - USA software engineer company 1
2.) Aug 2012 - June 2013 - USA software engineer company 2
3.) April 2014 - March 2016 - Business development officer for a chemical company on sales based commission in India (Not an employee here, but earn percentage on sales)

Can you please suggest what to put down on the profile. I think I already qualify for Express entry FSW because of No 1.

What is tricky is No 3. As it is on commission basis with just 1 client, will it be called self-employed? If yes that under what NOC to apply for it? And is it the case that such work experience will not count at all for express entry?

Thanks in advance. I have gained tremendous info about most things by reading through this forum. I am very grateful to the contributors Smiley

Hi,

I am new to this website and the Forum. I along with my wife are planning to apply for the Canadian PR, We have got our ECA evaluation done, have give IELTS as well. On the basis of the IELTS Score the current CRS Score is coming to 393 (planning to give IELTS again and improve this)

I have a query - Can we improve our CRS score by giving IELTS again even after we submit our file under EE. Or should we give IELTS again, improve our score and then submit our file?

Thanks

You can create your EE profile based on the current scores. Once you obtain CLB 9 equivalent scores in IELTS i.e. minimum L 8, R 7 , W 7 , S 7 then you will get a score above 400 CRS points. All the best.

Thanks a lot.

1 more query - I have been reading and researching a lot and am not able to find anywhere about CRS score for Alberta. Would you have any information regarding that? Can I get a Nomination for Alberta with my current CRS score?

Kindly refer the below thread for information on different PNPs:

I am thinking of applying for nbpnp. I would like to know what is amount of commitment to be given to reside in NB? I checked their intent to reside form and I am not seeing any specific time period to stay in the province.

Does that mean that one needs to stay there until citizenship?

I know Canadian constitution gives mobility to pr holders to move anywhere, but I really don't want break a trust for which they gave 600 points. I'm fine to reside for few years if there's a right job, but giving commitment for five + years makes me rethink.

Hello,

I am at 411 points
NOC 2172
IELTS W6.5 L8 S7 R7
I am waiting for Ontario PNP. when will it start sending invites? does any one have any information whether 400+ criteria has changed or not?

what are my chances?
I will lose 5 points in May 2017 will I be able to get my application processed before my birthday?

Should I try for any other PNP? if yes which is best suited for NOC code 2172(ETL MSBI SQL profile?)

Are there any rules for 400+ points for Ontario? I mean I'm not familiar with Ontario Provinical Programm but what I want to ask do the guys from Ontario look only at those who have more than 400 points?

I think in your case with your scores the only hope is PNP as I've seen report from the early 2015 and up to date and observed that the lowest score for EE was 450.

point number 4 says
"Express Entry Ranking: All applicants must score a minimum of 400 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System in IRCC’s Express Entry system. Your score must remain at or above 400 during both the Ontario nomination processing stage and at the federal application for permanent residency processing stage. See Section 7.2 for further information."

All I want to know is has this criteria changed? coz i read some post somewhere on this forum

They have paused sending notifications long back. They hope to reopen anytime in next few months. Nobody knows if their crs cutoff would remain same or change.

Hi guys,

Sitting low on CRS with 390, PNP seems to be the only saving grace, unless I find enough motivation and courage to go through the grueling IELTS process again! While I am at it, as per my research, I guess I am only eligible to apply PNP for PEI.

Can someone shed some light on the chances of nomination, processing time, job scenario and life in general in PEI? Bottom line being, is it worth applying and hoping for a nomination for PEI? BTW, my NOC is 0124.

Thanks in advance, cheers!
