Hi,

I have received my PPR(Passport Request) 2 days before for PR VISA through express entry. Now i have to apply for my mothers visa. I want to take her with me when i move to Canada i.e. in next two months. What should be the best option here ?

Visitors visa seemed to be the best and easiest option but i am her only family member as i am the only child and she is divorced. So on bases of she has no reason ( no job, no property and no family here) to come back to India can they reject her visa ?

To go with PARENT/GRANDPARENT SUPER VISA i must be in Canada. But i want to take her with me.

Please help. What should be the ideal way to handle this ?

Thanks.

Go for multiple Travel visa - in which your mother Needs To come back to India once every six months.

Post travelling thrice like this or in your second year, when you are in the condition of meeting Canada minimum wage Requirements for a year - around CAD 30,000 something - you can file her supervisa. In this she needs to come back once in 24 months.

Now, post 3.5 years of your staying, when you got three months of Canada earned income meeting minimum wage Requirements Cad 30000 around every Year, and filling taxes. You can opt for parents grandparents visa which will give her permanent resident.

There is no option available that will allow your mother to move to Canada with you. Her only option at this time is to visit - eventually she will need to return home.

As stated above, a visitor visa is her only option at this time. To be approved, she will need to demonstrate strong ties to her home country and prove she has no plans on remaining in Canada long term. This is going to be difficult to do if she has no job or property in her home country and certainly significantly increases the chances of refusal. You haven't mentioned if she has past travel history to countries requiring visas (e.g. US, UK). This may impact her application as well. Since she has limited ties to her home country - I would strong recommend that you request a visit of 2-3 week at most.

Good luck.

Yes - you can certainly apply to bring her on a super visa once you have a job that meets the income requirements. To be approved for a super visa, she will still need to demonstrate that she has strong ties to her home country and has no plans on remaining in Canada long term. Just because you qualify to apply for a super visa certainly doesn't mean she will be approved for one.

I am currently in India. I am her only family. So she can get the VISITORS VISA on that basis right ?
Because i will be still here for at least two months.

The fact you are her only family certainly won't guarantee an approved visa. If anything, it will make it more difficult since this lessens her ties to her home country and may make CIC concerned she is going to try to use the visitor visa to move to Canada.

Again, to be approved, she needs to demonstrate strong ties to her home country and prove she has no plans on remaining in Canada long term.

In case that you do get visa for her. Remember to buy health insurance for her stay in Canada. You don't want to pay an arm and a leg if anything happen. *touch wood*

Here are my few cents ..

A.you need to show strong ties back home. If she is a single parent in such scenarios we Indians generally rely on our extended family. Point that out in your cover letter. Show them she is close to her parents/brother/sister/ BIL/SIL and that they all live in India.

B. Is she is retired or working , show employment records in latter case and pension papers in former.

C. Any life insurance policies, NSC's, bank certificates, health insurance ,any fixed deposits, also property papers, ITR's.

D. You need one heck of a cover letter.

Last and not the least : HOPE!

@scylla So they will come to know that i have already received PR Visa.

@OdinNguyen thanks! I will look for it.

@vish.J she was working long time back. Like in her 20s. Now she is 63. Actually family is really vast. 3 brother/sisters and lots of cousins.
