Hi All
I need to get some expert advice on the new point system for valid job offer in express entry.
Let me first tell you my case. I've been in Canada since March, 2016 on a closed work permit under intra company transfer case. I've received my extension offer for next one year till April 2018.
Now as per introduction of new points for job offer as below by CIC:
"The points you can get for a job offer has changed. ◦you can earn a total of 50 points if you have a valid job offer in a NOC 0, A or B occupation
◦you can earn a total of 200 points if you have a valid job offer in a NOC 00 occupation.
•A job offer now only need to be for a minimum of one year from the time you become a permanent resident. "

I am planning to submit my express entry profile in March when I've points for my 1 year of Canadian experience. My query is If I claim the above 50 points now in my express entry profile submission, I might be selected in next draw in March as I'll be having points close to 475 but after I receive ETA and submit my documents, the processing time is all dependent upon CIC. They might take as long as 6 months for processing and by that time I'll be left with only 6 more months of valid job offer (i.e. till April 2018). So CIC might reject my application due to this reason.

So I need your advice if my understanding is correct or not. Also If you can guide me better with some other alternative in this case, It'll be a great help.

Thanks in advance...
Amit

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
It all depends on whether your employer is willing to say that you'll be working for them "for a year after becoming PR"

You will be required to upload a letter stating this (among other requirements) when submitting your eAPR.

But the problem is my employer renews my contract for another 1 year only after completion of 1 year. So I guess in that case I'll never be eligible to claim these points.
Could you please confirm?

Dear members, I am having another doubt regarding the points claim of Canadian experience. As per the condition, I need to have 1 year of job experience in Canada before I can claim these points. I'll be completing my 1 year on 19th March. So can I submit my profile now showing 1 year of experience now so that I am selected for ITA and I get 90 days for submitting the docs. I'll submit my docs after 19th March so that my 1 year is completed at the point of submitting docs. Will this be OK or CIC will treat it as non-compliant as I claimed the points before completing 1 year although I submit my docs after completing 1 year..
