Hello guys! I am looking for some advice here..

I have got the TRV which I supposed to get abt 2 months before. It took me 3 months to get my TRV approved. My wife and a kid are Canadian Citizens and I would like to know if it's better for me to apply Inland or Outland Sponsorship.

We have decided to move to Canada as soon as I get my PR but as I have my TRV now .. I can go there now and I apply for Inland Sponsorship.

Any suggestion.????

Just to note that I have a job in Dubai at the moment. I am a Pakistani national and a resident of UAE

Well it all depends on if you can afford to be in Canada without working in my opinion!

If you apply INLAND, you can apply for an Open work permit but will only get about 4 months after sending in your application. So can you afford to be in Canada for 4 months without working? The other thing is, when applying INLAND you must stay in Canada throughout the whole process of your application, which can be up to 2 years, sometimes more.

Applying OUTLAND is much faster in almost all cases. You can still come visit your family in Canada with your TRV, but cannot work.

Outland through either Pakistan or the UAE often takes a long time, so the main benefit of applying outland is gone - that outland is generally much faster. On the other hand, with children together and a strong application, an outland application could well be much quicker for you than for the average applicant from Pakistan. Try checking the Pakistan thread to see how long recent applicants are taking.

Thanks CarM8 and canadianwoman,

Appreciate your both response. I have checked the processing time on the CIC website for UAE and it says 13months which is not bad compare to Inland Sponsorship.

However, I can apply from UAE though and do we have to submit our application in UAE Canadian Consulate?

No, if you apply outland, everything needs to be sent first to the office in Mississauga. The CIC website has all that information :)
