Hi everyone. I am applying for the Sep'21 intake for a 2 year's Master's program under the SDS stream. Is there any SDS student here who has successfully got an SOWP for their spouse? My husband and I have been married 5.5 years and we really don't want to be separated. We have heard that SOWPs aren't easily approved. Any helpful guidance on this will be much appreciated.

I applied under SDS for Winter 2019 semester. Then my wife applied from home country for SOWP after I started my first semester. She got approved, together with my son who got a study permit for secondary school. From my experience, it's not that hard. It probably help that we have a property back home.
Thank you for your response. In the current scenario with COVID I hear SOWPs are not being processed on priority. I'm not sure if that's true. We also don't have any property back home so there's that too.
I'd appreciate it if someone who has had a successful SOWP application post March 2020 can shed some light on this.
