Hello All,

I'm really wondering if anyone here has done a soft landing and has had any issues post COVID?

Long story short, I have recently switched companies in my home country(India) and the work has been great so far. I have been given some shares worth a significantly high amount for me. The problem is that these shares only vest in August this year and if I leave the company before that, I wouldn't get anything. To top it off, I have plans of getting married this year. It would really hinder my plans if I were to move to Canada permanently at this point.

I got the RFV mail a couple of days ago and was wondering if soft landing is an option for me. I'd like to come back and spend the rest of the year in my current company and then move to Canada permanently. I've heard some people say that they hand over the PR card only to the applicant and not anyone else. Is this true?

I'd also like to know if there have been cases of soft landing and their friend/relative were able to collect the PR card on the applicant's behalf without any issues.

Thanks in advance!
