You can apply for an extension, yes. Make sure you've done it before you stay ends. CIC recommends 30 days, which isn't possible in your case. You should get familiar with what you need now and start preparing the application.
im just confused as to why they stamped a date that was 6 months from the date I arrived....anyone??? Should I maybe call and ask what the stamp means? I'm having a serious panic attack :'(

So the second date they stamped would be the expiry date? I just want to make sure I'm here legally through this process. I don't want anything to mess up and ruin the chance to be with the love of my life... :-[

They will stamp date of arrival and sometimes date of exit (but not always). I never had a date of exit stamped on my passport, so I'm not 100% sure where it goes, but I thought it was inside the stamp itself, because there's room for it. (That is, if the stamps haven't changed in 2 years.)

Has anyone successfully gone through customs using the sentence "I am visiting my fiancé.." :D I'm super nervous :-[ Any stories would be helpful :) Are there papers I should have besides a return ticket? I'm an American visiting Canada btw...
When I visited the US, I just said boyfriend. He was my fiancee at the time, but because we barely got to phyiscally be with each other, I considered him a boyfriend. I did get questioned, but more on the "I'm also seeing family" (I have a cousin who lives in the same city my husband is from, Nashville) than on him. When my husband came here, I was with him at the bridge and so were my parents. We were even holding hands in the backseat of the car haha. Just be honest. It's starting to become pretty normal. Ours was a strange case because he was from TN and I'm in Ontario so it was quite a distance haha.

Papers: return ticket, banking info, rental agreement etc. Even better if your fiancee can be with you in the car! :)
