Success of TRV application when applying with minors

My student trv was recently refused. I engaged a consultant who advised me to drop the children from my next application.
I am able to show funds of $80,000 and bank statements and fixed assets of my spouse and mine which value well over $1million both in local currency and domicilliary accounts. These were not earlier shown as my spouse grossly underestimated the financial requirements that was expected. Some of these assets are recent while most were available during the time of the first application. We declared almost nothing at the first try, believeing that our travel history was adequate to convince the visa office that it was business as usual. Another overseas trip!
I ask earnestly for advise and sharing of experiences with anyone with some knowledge in these issues.
My spouse is staying back with half the family while I go with the other half.
Will appreciate your contributions.
Thanks ::) :D

Thanks Momi!
Reasons for refusal.
1. Insufficient funds.
2. Failure to convince officials of real intention.
In addition I included all 4 kids in my application while my spouse applied for a non work permit TRV.
SPouse is sponsor through his company where he holds 50% partnership and company bank statements were issued which was low in funds. But showed an annual turnover of over $1 million.
2 kids hold dual citizenships, EU & USA passports while 2 other don't.
I haven't worked for 12 years though a pharmacy graduate of 20 years.
Currently unemployed and a full house wife intending to do a 4 semester post graduate certificate in Global Business Management.
I hope to submit an application this week for wither admissions. Do help.

You need to show your funds for covering the expenses of your tution fee plus living expenses of your whole family and if you have school going childern then your funds should also be sufficient to cover their school tution fee. Therefore, if you are going to apply with your childern you must have BIG bank statement. $80,000 is good but it would be better if you estimate your expenses first.

Insufficients funds is not the big problem here, big problem is to convince Visa Officer that you have real intention to pursue your program. VO made this objection because you do not have any employment history. Basically, you need to write a very strong SOP in which you explain to VO what urges you to study this program and how this program would help you in your future plans. You also need to tell him why you have not done anything in past and what change your mind to stop working as house wife and again resuming your study.

You should arrange funds equal to or more than
First year tuition + 12000 c$ for living + traveling expenses for all family + living expenses for dependents, I am sure you will arrange these funds but the main problem is VO thinks that you are not a bonafied student.Reasons are that after graduation you have not any experience and also not studied anything for last many years...one way is to write a strong SOP that why u want to study the purposes course and what change will it bring to ur life secondly show sting home ties also...

Thank you gentlemen/ladies(?),
Your replies were sure eye openers. We can show the funds, but can anyone explain to me what is meant by " bank draft in transferable currency"?
I have 7 years of work experience as a medical representative for multinational pharmaceutical companies before opting to stay home as a house wife and I did an MBA which I declined to mention for the fact that a graduate certificate is lower in status to that.
Since my spouse is an entrepreneur, and kids are matured enough to allow me some independence of my own, the choice of program is to allow me to gain the skills and training to join his company as a bona fide director, to gain access to international networking by interacting with individuals who criss cross the continents.
With respect to home ties, I will have half my family stay back while I apply with the other half. At least apply to go with the younger ones so as to reduce the burden of baby sitting for thier father since his business still requires him to do a bit of globe trotting, and also free my hands enough to attend to my studies which is the primary purpose of traveling.
The older ones may have to enroll in boarding secondary schools for now.
It sounds pat, but I will still appreciate your further contributions.
Does anyone know of a successful international student TRV with open study permits for kids?

Sponsor Personal Fixed deposit $60,000.
Assets worth $400,000
Company bank statement shows in and out which may show a turn over of $2,000,000 in 6 months bank statement. Current balance may be about $400,000. On going project may reduce such to $30,000 in no time.
Principal applicant cash will hold some cash.
Proof of funds will not be a problem. What I need to know is the experience of others who might have made same applications for minors who would be traveling with the international student. It appears that ( cic) they are looking for reasons to decline rather than reasons to grant approval.
Momi, hi.
Anticipating the best for you!

Transferable currency means convertable to Canadian dollars, you have to build your case that you are a bonafied student...
Write a strong SOP showing the need of the proposed course besides providing supporting documents of business and your current role ....
The main problem in study permit along with spouse and children is home ties which can be shown by blood relations OR property OR current job / business
Your finances should be equal to or more than
First year tuition + 12000 c$ for living + travelling for all members + living for all dependents....
Search the forum u can find many cases...
