Submitting two applications under same EE profile

Hello Experts,

Is it possible to submit two applications at a time under express entry under two different streams?

I have already submitted my federal skilled worker application and I want to submit another application under BC PNP. The PNP officer is asking me to start another profile if I want to continue with PNP. When I went into my CIC account and tried to create another profile it said "Application already submitted".

Now CIC website says I can't create multiple EE profiles but CIC call center folks said I can submit more than one application as long as they are from different streams, like one under FSW and another under PNP.

Has anyone else faces this situation? If yes, then kindly let me know how can I proceed forward with starting another application.

Any help will be much appreciated.

If you've already submitted an application under the FSW stream, why submit a second for PNP? FSW applications seem to be processed faster than PNP, and you can only receive one permanent residency.
