Submitting OPTION C later

Please Advice !

I have submitted my PR application a week ago without OPTION C ( I was waiting for CRA to mail them to my address). As I have received OPTION C now, Do I have to wait until I will get An Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) from the CIC or should I just send them now with a letter of explanation?

Sending addional documents before getting your file# or at least UCI# will most likely result in the document not being attached to your file.
If it's an outland sponsorship application, the time from AOR to sponsor approval is pretty short (1 month) so even if you send it it may not find your file in Mississauga in time. If inland it's OK to send after AOR.
If you have provided all other employment info, option c from previous year and an explanation why you didn't attach a current one you should be fine as it is.

Thank you for your advice. I applied inland and I have an UCI # as I had previous Multiple/Study and Visitor status. I was ONLY manage to attached the ORDINARY Notice of Assessment for last year/2014 ( which we printed online from CRA), and one year pay slips. While my wife/sponsor on a short term leave, she couldn't get a letter from her employer due to the fact that she's getting paid through her Union

I also notice that the passport size photos I've sent them are not from a commercial Photographer. so I would like to send them again. So as you have suggested, Should I wait for my AOR then send these documents or send it now with using previous UCI #?

You're running a risk of them sending back your application that's a must when sending off the package if you get a nice enough officer they might email asking for it but the option C shows information that the notice of assessment doesn't that's why they ask for it. Good luck tho

Thank you impatientwife,,, I have option c printout but the form IMM 5491 checklist get updated to IMM 5491 (02-2016)

and now on item 17 cic says '' Your Last Notice of Assessment '' and in old form of checklist was '' Original Option c Printout ''

However, now I can print the both Option C and the other type of Notice of Assessment from the CRA website. It was Since I have requested detailed Option C Notice of Assessment.

Yeah, the checklist was updated this month and the Option C is no longer required. They now ask for the Notice of Assessment from the CRA website.

You can find the Notice of Assessment on the CRA website, the updated sponsor checklist now lists this as the required document (not the Option C) and gives instructions on how to obtain it. As far as I know, this is the only thing that they recently changed. A couple months ago (give or take) they changed the photo specifications, but that isn't new.
