Hi Guys,
I received my Singapore PCC and FBI PCC last week which is good news but have a question to ask.
I received an email from FBI stating that the fingerprints for my spouse and daughter were not legible and I need to send fresh fingerprints along with new money order payments. This is going to delay their FBI PCC by almost another 3 months.

What shall I do? I am thinking about submitting my application which has all my documents in place and can add to LOE about the above situation of FBI PCC for my spouse and daughter. Will this put my application on hold? As my country of residence is USA from past 5 years, do I really need the FBI PCC for my spouse and daughter (4 yr old)?

Please suggest.

Thanks

I think you will definitely need the PCC for your spouse (not sure about your daughter, as my understanding was that PCCs were only needed for persons 18 or older).

You should definitely include an LOE with documentation explaining your situation if you can't meet the eAPR submission deadline (include the email from the FBI and proof that the application was actually made (receipts of payment, etc.)).

However, even if you submit this LOE and IRCC grants you the extension for your spouse's PCC, it will still put your application on hold at some point, as IRCC will not proceed to process your application after a certain point without the PCC - they'll wait for you to send it.

Hi Guys
I had resubmitted my spouse's PCC request with FBI and they stated that it will take again 10-12 weeks for them to respond to this as they will be treating this as a new request altogether, so I have no choice but to highlight this in my LOE and submit my PR application. Hopefully, once I receive her PCC, I will be able to upload it on my application again.
For my daughter's case, as she is less than 18, I again read the requirements and I will not require her FBI clearance PCC so will not be mentioning it anywhere. Rest seems fine.
All the best. Thanks

Hi Guys,

One quick question... for proof of funds, I am providing my bank statements and credit card statements from my US accounts. Do I need to furnish my India bank account or India credit card details even though I am not using it for proving funds availability?
Please let me know.

Thanks

Hi deepakkhanna1984,
you can provide any one account statement which meets CIC criteria or multiple statement will work (including credit card) if fund is segregated.

Hi Keepitsafe

If I am reading the PR application document requirement section correctly, it requires me to furnish details of all my bank accounts (of course for proof of funds) and also any credit cards I hold, to check my debts.
My USA bank account provides details on my funds and my credit card statements give my credit limits and any balances (debts) along with my loan details, if any. Indian bank account and credit card which I hold do not have any funds but are just added to my documents as they wanted to see all my bank accounts as well as credit cards to check on loans and liabilities as well.
Including all will be OK or just the bank account which gives my proof of funds?

Thanks

Hi Deepak,

As the intention behind verifying the the accounts is to check whether the applicant can sustain when he arrive in Canada. So account and credit card statement will do.

Hi @mattjp1,

Can I ask what did you end up doing in your first post? did you submit proof to CIC that you are in process of applying for Singapore COC?
Do you think it processed faster or did you wait until u received singapore coc to submit a complete application ?

I am in the same boat, waiting for singapore COC but all other documents are ready.. singapore COC will take so long (1 month or so) so I kind of want to submit proof of application of Singapore COC to kickstart my CIC process
