Submitting Document after initial submission received by CIC

Is it OKAY to submit 'one' additional document after my initial package was received by CIC very recently. This might not be a mandatory document but a good supporting document. Will CIC add it to the package? Any risk in doing this. This is just for the peace of mind (that I have submitted so and so document).

Has anyone done this?

CIC will not open your application for several weeks. If you send in additional documents before your file goes into process then how will CIC match the new documents to a file sitting in their mail room? Sidney is busy and your second mail will either get lost in the system or confuse the situation. Also do you want someone retrieving your file and possibly returning it out of place. Wait till transfer to Local Office or even take it to the test unless the document is of such great significance but given the recent update to the application form they now ask for all the major evidence they need.

cic processing office do open the application package as they received thn..there's a department that accept them and checked to see if its completed and all request documents submitted...thn pass thn off to another department to send out acknowledgement letters to all applicants

and this is where all the long processing and wait begin....cic doesnt want to have applications piling up like a mountain...so they do open them...but take their dear time sending out acknowledgement letters
