Submitted eAPR with the wrong NOC code

Hi everyone,

I submitted my eAPR a week ago and now I am m worried about a mistake in my NOC selection. I’m an industrial engineer currently working as an industrial manager in Canada. My job duties align with both NOC codes (Industrial Engineer and Engineering Manager), but they lean more towards managerial responsibilities.

When I created my express entry profile, I mistakenly set my primary NOC as Industrial Engineer, considering my overall experience and profile. However, in my work history, I listed my experience under the NOC for Industrial Manager, causing a mismatch. I realized this after receiving and ITA and in my application I included a Letter of Explanation (LOE) to clarify my mistake.

Now I’m concerned this could lead to a rejection. I didn’t want to decline my ITA… my profile is strong … I have 572 CRS points, a Master from France, and high scores in both CELPIP and the French exam.

Would it be better to withdraw my application and reapply, or should I wait and see what happens? Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I think is more depend on the visa officer. If you already attached a LOE about it it will help the officer to understand your profile completely.Jusy try to keep an eye on your application .
Last year my ITA got rejected because I submitted WES for education and guess what everything was same the document IRCC want and the one I uploaded it just missing IMM which represents documents for immigration purposes.
Anyways that's how IRCC works if any error was from your side they have all the right to reject the application as incomplete but in your case I think they might or not ask for ADR.
By the time being consult a lawyer who might guide you well in this journey.
All the best.

I was thinking uploading an additional letter with detailed duties covering both Noc codes… saying that the first ones were more general… I hope that will work
