Hi everyone,
I submitted my eAPR a week ago and now I am m worried about a mistake in my NOC selection. I’m an industrial engineer currently working as an industrial manager in Canada. My job duties align with both NOC codes (Industrial Engineer and Engineering Manager), but they lean more towards managerial responsibilities.
When I created my express entry profile, I mistakenly set my primary NOC as Industrial Engineer, considering my overall experience and profile. However, in my work history, I listed my experience under the NOC for Industrial Manager, causing a mismatch. I realized this after receiving and ITA and in my application I included a Letter of Explanation (LOE) to clarify my mistake.
Now I’m concerned this could lead to a rejection. I didn’t want to decline my ITA… my profile is strong … I have 572 CRS points, a Master from France, and high scores in both CELPIP and the French exam.
Would it be better to withdraw my application and reapply, or should I wait and see what happens? Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
