Submit passport to New Delhi Visa office

Hello All,

I need help in submitting passports for my brother's family to New Delhi Visa office. The passport request letter has the following link http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/India/

Does it mean that we will have to submit the passports along with the letter to VFS And they will send it to the visa office?

Or can we send our passports directly to the Canadian high commission in New Delhi.

Please advise.

My brother lives in India and he can mail the passport's directly to the high commission

Better to submit passport thro VFS. It will be faster and secure.

So it means, submitting to VFS is an option not a requirement.

Because when I applied bak in the day, I mailed it directly to the canadian high commission and VFS option was not even available....

Yes It is a option. They prefer thro VFS. I have submitted my passport thro VFS. We can track status of passport online. We can collect the passport in person in VFS or courier option also there. If you send your passport directly to Visa office, they will send us back passport by register post.

Do we need to get an appointment from VFS office or can we walk-in on any working day.

Also do we need to provide any other documents apart from Passport request letter, passports themselves and latest photos?

And what is the best way to pay the VFS fees. In cash/card/cheque/draft etc...

We can walkin to any VFS office. Better to go early in the morning, the rush will be less. They accept only cash, check VFS website for details. Submit the required documents as per Passport request letter.

now a days, NDVO only allows the passport submissions through only VFS .

for keraliets, have 3 options 1) banglore 2)chennai 3)hydrabad. bec an office in kerala has been closed since couple of months ago.
