Submit passport at VAC in a country different than the one from where application was made.

Hi,

I submitted my Canada visitor visa application while being in United States. I am on a work visa in United states.
I received a letter to submit my passport for final processing.

However, I need to do urgent travel to my home country India within couple of weeks and wont be able to submit my passport at VAC location in United States.
Can I submit my passport at VAC location in India?
