If you wish to attend your hearing interview quickly , you could submit evidence & story to IRB directly.

Your lawyer has lots of cases to deal with. He / She could not focus on your case first all the time.

When IRB receive your complete evidence & story, IRB officer may schedule your hearing interview quickly.

Once you have the schedule time of hearing ,your lawyer have to interview with you to discuss your case.

Then you and your lawyer attend the hearing interview on time.

If people want to submit their own application I would suggest having their lawyer review the application first. Applying without a lawyer doesn’t necessarily mean that you will get an earlier hearing.

I actually did that long time ago, and there has been no changes so far. So there is absolutely no guarantee this will happen. IRB functions case by case and there is no similar scenarios. A lot of people applied after me got their hearing already and have applied for a pr. so there is no specific rule on how this works exactly.
