Submission to Sydney - need final confirmation

Hi,
I am applying for me and my wife soon under skilled worker cat 1.
this might be a stupid question, but i need final confirmation that i have to submit only the below 3 items to Sydney office initially:

1. Application forms
2. Passport bio-data pages
3. Fees for me and my wife

I hope somebody can confirm this, so I can send off my application in this week itself. I already have all the forms filled out.
By the time I get 120 day email, I will have all the documentation prepared.

first 2 u r correct. as far as 3 is concerned, if u want then u can remit fee for u only if u r the principal applicant and u can pay fee for ur wife later on at the time of submission of final docs. please get copies of passport notarized. it is better to play safe.

I have applied in Sep 2007, I have only received an acknowledgement and a letter at the beginning of this year weather to take a refund or let it continue.

My 2 Brothers are in Canada, One of my brother has raised a confirm job letter from the company he works in (as he has very good position in the company).

Its about 2 months back, what will happens with my immigrationcase now, if they accept this legal job letter and include this in my immigrations process.

Please advice.

Rizz, best bet for you if you are really eager to go soon is to withdraw your case from your local CIC office, then re-apply with that Job offer. You can apply without job offer though, but you have to be among the 38 Job spec. list..I know of someone in Japan with this Kind of situation, He withdrew his case in Feb., re-apply and now he is Med-request level..

I agree with Minus360. Also you don't have to withdraw your initial application. I think you can withdraw it later after you are well into the process of this application. There has been cases of AEO being rejected (i think) so it is best to withdraw your application as late as possible.

Bringing this topic back to the original question. I'm about to send this off in the next few hours.

Got only 4 questions:

1. Funds to be mentioned in the form. The instructions booklet says I can include property value etc. But when time comes to show proof of funds, I obviously am not going to sell my house to show the money. Can I enter C$15,000 in the form and show C$15,000 for proof of funds? We are 2 of us applying.

2. Mailing labels. Are these the stick labels you get for books in school? Or can I just print this out on a piece of paper and cut it to a smaller size?

3. Question 6 on Economic Classes form: I haven't given the IELTS exam yet. But the "YES" says to attach a copy of results. Should I give test and then send this form to CIO? I was under the impression that these results will have to be send to local office.

4. Processing fees: I should submit only C$550 now for myself? Although in the forms I've mentioned myself and my wife. somebody mentioned I can pay only my fee and there is no need to pay both our fees.

1) They say you can use property value, not that you must use it. So go ahead and show 15000 other ways, such as through bank letter. (I think for houses, it is done through appraising not by actually selling the house).

2) I did normal sheet of paper but they probably meant stick labels. I don't think it matters.

3) If you are sending to CIO Sydney, NS, then you don't have to send the IELTS results. The same form is used to send to the visa office and hence that instruction to send IELTS. So don't send IELTS to Sydney.

4) I have not heard of this before but that doesn't mean it is not true. I think that option is for people who send their application off and are not married and then get married before applying to the visa office or for those people where thier wife is not accompanying them and then decide that their wife is going to accompany them between the CIO stage and Visa office stage. As far as I know, if you don't send the total money while saying that your wife is accompanying you, then they might return your application. BTW, I don't have a wife or kid so never really read more on this matter. What I am saying here is based on my slight understanding of the rules.

I will write C$15,000 in form and when time comes for proof I will show letter from bank showing about C$15,000.

I will take print outs on paper and send it in if I can't find sticky labels.

I will just go ahead and submit both our fees together instead of getting hit with a delay.

By the way, i didnt look to see if the actual amount of 15000 is accurate. I presumed you would have done that.

i wasn't really talking in terms of money required to sustain in canada.
i was talking purely in terms of funding to be shown on documents for there to be "no problems".
