I have been asked to submit passport copies (all passports-old and current) along with submission of medical receipts.
1) Can I send reduced- size -photocopies (of those pages which are blank)?
2) Is the attestation by a gazetted officer acceptable for NewDelhi visa office (India)?
Me and my spouse have had 3 passports each so far. When I applied, I submitted the passport pages having stamps (of entry and exit to other countries). Now they have asked all pages of all passports. So we have around 120 pages to get notarized. Since the notaries in India charge per page for attestation, this would be a huge amount of money. (Of these 120 pages, only around 30 pages have some kind of data in it. Rest are blank pages.)
I am thinking of sending 100% size copies of all pages having some data. Then reduce the size of remaining pages (to compress 4 or 6 pages into a single page) and get it notarized. Will CIC accept this?
By the way, I just read in the application instructions guide that anyone in the country having authorization to attest can do the job. If that is the case, I should go to a gazetted officer and get all these attested for free, because gaz.officers are authorized persons in India. Can someone throw some light into this?
Thankyou.
