Hi,

I am a B.Pharma graduate with 10 year of work experienceas as Medical Representative in India.now I have applied for pharmacy Technician diplome in Canada and waiting for LOA from two of Colleges. I have been reading a lot in many website and even talking to many consultants regarding this program and chances of getting Studay permit and gist of all the conversations is “ that I am not going to get LOA, even if I get that I’ll not get Study visa because of 10 year of study gap then for choosing a program which is even not a PG diploma.
requesting any one if you can share how can I get study permit.
the main reason behind taking my career move is because I have been doing same job function from last 10 year and now I am manager in my company and I don’t like my job at all and I am not good at it too because I do not have sales skill. That’s why I want to go back again to study and wanted to work as Pharmacist in Canada and unlike India, pharmacist in Canada have lot of respect as well as Job responsibility and to achieve that I am choosing Pharmacy Technician program, which will allow me to regain my pharmacy knowledge and working under registered pharmacist in Canada will allow me to have practical knowledge of Job function.
If any one has faced same experience then pls share how I can overcome this challenge.

First of all, ignore those consultants.

Second of all, you have Bachelors's degree, why go backward to a diploma? Why not choose a master's program or PG diploma?

Thirdly, if your aim is to work in Canada as a pharmacist, why apply for a study permit? VO will sense you are using a study permit to stay here.

I suggest you go for a 2 year master's degree in pharma or MBA in sales stating that you want to learn and upgrade your career.
If your SOP is great and make sense , you can get study permit ...

I am choosing study permit because I have been doing job as a medical representative from last 10 year which is more of sales related job, so I need to regain my pharmacy knowledge so that I can clear PEBC exam in Canada. I am not able to choose master degree because all the master degree of pharmacy in Canada is theses based which required research background, which I don’t have.

If you want to work in Canada, get PR or apply for a work permit, not a study permit

But you can't go backward. VO will sense that you are not a genuine student.
