Study Visa

I'm a Srilankan living in India. I would like to apply for Study visa to Canada for this fall and my Srilankan passport expires by April 2014.

if i apply for visa by July and my passport will have only 6 months validity, and My question is
1. whether i will get the one or two year study visa to Canada in India
2. if i get one or two year study visa, Shall i goto Srilanka to take a new passport and leave to canada from Srilanka.

1.Go to Sri Lanka.
2.Renew your Passport.
3.Apply for Canadian Study Permit from Sri Lanka.
NOTE:IT IS NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR STUDY PERMIT FROM YOUR OWN COUNTRY THE REASON BEING THAT VO SHOULD BE SATISFIED THAT YOU WOULD LEAVE CANADA AFTER YOUR STUDIES.

And also they will not Issue you visa for 2 or 3 years if you have only 6 months validity of passport.

That;s a bad excuse. Before i applied, it was 5 years before i went to Pakistan and i was living in Saudi and i got the visa

May be you are right bro but the point is one should not take risk.he/she should satisfy visa officer that he/she loves his/her country and you are talking about 5 years before but now situation is different now-a-days visa is equivalent to diamond,my own visa is refused two times instead I was not having anything less in my case.

Hi Everyone,I would like to get some assistance
I am a srilankan national by descent but I have done my Schooling and UG in India .As I hold a srilankan passport,I will apply for my student permit from srilanka ,Could any one please tell me if my UG certificates which are from India needs to be attestated/Apostile signed from India ,for it to be valid in srilanka for visa application?or jut the certificates will be valid without any attestation ?

Also could you please let me know educational documents are required for Masters student visa application ?

Do you have acceptance into a college or university and you can prove career progression? As for funds, you need to pay first year tuition and show a minimum of $20,000 Cdn for four people.
