• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

GCMS NOTE:

I am not satisfied that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of their stay as a temporary resident, I note that:

-the client is single, mobile and is not sufficiently established in his country of residence/home country. Weak professional and economic ties to COR and home country.

Family ties in the United Arab Emirates.

I would like to elucidate that I live in the UAE with my parents and my sister I completed all my schooling in here. UAE is my second home; I share a great bond with the people and community here. Other than closely related family, I have many friends residing here. I am well acquainted to the culture and we have been good residents of the country. I have resident permit of UAE, under my father's sponsorship which is renewed every year. My father resident permit is sponsored by his company, which is renewed every three years. My mother & sister have resident permit of UAE, under my father sponsorship and renewed every three years.

We own a property in Dubai where we presently live (Ref Financial Support Document: Exhibit D).

In the future picture, I certainly see myself living with my parents in UAE, as they approach a certain age in which they will need all my support. Moreover, my elder sister will be getting married by end of this year and moving out, this makes it evident that my parents will be on their own in the coming years. My parents have been very considerate towards all my needs and that being said I ought to do the same for them. Being the only son I am bound to come back thus making my ties to my family and country of residence undeniably profound.

Family ties in India.

My parents, my sister and I are all born in India. My maternal and paternal grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and other innumerous relatives stay in India. We are very cultured and a close family and celebrate all the festivals in as a family gathering, it has been a ritual of visiting our family in India and celebrate all the big occasions and festivals with all family members in India. The last 2 years we haven’t travel to India due to the emergence of Covid-19.

We own ancestral properties which are maintained by us remotely and by other family members. My parents also own two properties of their own in Mumbai, India. ((Ref Financial Support Document: Exhibit E)

I have NO family ties in Canada.

I would like to elucidate that I have no family ties in Canada. As far as I know, none of my distant relatives have even visited Canada. The only reason I want to visit Canada is to achieve the degree so that when I come back I can enhance my career.
When the vo reads this, obviously they will know you're trying to stay in Canada.

You're taking them for a fool hahaha

You know those scam emails you get from scammers saying you win lots of money etc. that are total lies obviously? Yeah, your SOP reads like those scam emails. It's so blatantly obvious your son is trying to use the study permit to stay in Canada to work and immigrate. The "study" part is just a troublesome part of the process.

No VO is getting fooled by them lol.

Your son didn’t write this. None of this really relates to being refused for a study permit. Family ties in India are of no matter because only your son’s immediate family (parents) are considered. Meeting family for celebrations is not a tie as well a property owned by other family members.

Correct. It doesn't support your application or letter of explanation. Which is why you received this gcms note:

Taking the applicant's plan of studies into account, the documentation provided in support of the applicant's financial situation does not demonstrate that funds would be sufficient or available. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Bank statements fluctuate considerably & showing a low closing balance. As such, I am not satisfied that the applicant has access to sufficient funds to cover studies and expenses in Canada.
The VO do this for a living, they can know what you're up to by reading your application. You're trying too hard to "convince" the VO.

I can also see you're trying very hard to come with with a backstory. VO is not going to fall for it.

Just a suggestion, keep the SOP short and simple. Avoid flowery or hifalutin words. VO will not decide based on one’s knowledge of words that scores high in scrabble. Words such as elucidate can be replaced with a much simpler and more effective “clarify”. Think of a business letter format, keep it short, simple and direct to the point.

my son study visa got reject this week after 1 month of process. he was applying for a diploma in Montreal, fee fully paid for 1 year, enough finical proof and real estate property to show back home in India and in UAE. the SOP was very detail and to the objective of study purpose.

his visa was rejected, for following reason

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.

We are preparing to reapply with strong SOP, any suggestion?
It is next to impossible to get study permit approved by Canada visa officer in UAE, especially for Asians. Even if you get GCMS notes it will show vagye reasons and 200% sure they will reject if you apply to Abu Dhabi. I have nothing to say more.

Better get GCMS notes, rectify the issues and apply from India. Good luck.
