Study visa process

Hi,

I have a friend who wants to apply for study visa from Pakistan and he needs information regarding the application for study permit. I have following questions and if someone can answer these I would be more than thankful.

1. How do the international students apply to the college? Is it through international center or is it through Ontario Colleges?
2. How does the bio-matric system work? When can he submit the finger prints? Will he have to submit them when submitting the application or when can that be submitted?
3. How long does it take these days for the medical call to the applicant?

Ask your friend to join this forum or similar ones, then he can search through old posts to get his questions answered and learn more about the the entire process. Better he learns everything by himself.

1. Student can apply for offer letter directly from chosen college website. They can do it by themselves.
2. After receiving offer letter, Student have to pay college fees and gic depending on situation that it is SDS application or NON SDS. After preparing all required documents, Student have to apply visa online through IRCC website. While applying visa, Student will pay fee of study permit and biometric. Then, IRCC will send biometric instruction letter within 24 hours. Then, Student will make appointment from local VFS office to give their biometric. Student may book appointment in advance if they are confident that their file will be submitted to IRCC before their biometric appointment.
3. If, student will apply under SDS category, then he/she need to do upfront medical. You can find approved medical location on IRCC website. If, its NON sds application. Then IRCC will request for medical but no one can tell the timing. Once, they start work on your application then they ask for medical.
