Study VISA got rejected

Hi There,
I applied for student Visa in Canada and got rejected on Financial grounds( i showed more than 50 lacs in assets including cash). also they said the course I was doing ACCA is not in line with my previous education and experience. My sister lives in US and can financially support me, what are chances of getting a Visa if I do a program that is more relevent to my core subjects(sales & business mgmt). Any help highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Raghavendra

First of all the only reason the VO at the embassy would reject your visa based on financial grounds is if you did not have the required funds available. Showing "assets including cash" is not the same as having 30,000 C$ in your savings account exclusively in your name and immediately available to you.

The course you are applying for "ACCA" is available for you to do at numerous institutions on the indian subcontinent including Pakistan and India at fraction of the cost you would incur in Canada. It makes no sense why you would want to spend so much money to do the same course in Canada?!

If you have "50 lacs" why do you need your sister in the US to financially support you?

The reason your application was refused was because the VO does not believe you are a genuine student, I do not believe you are either, you have immigration intent. If you now change the course you are are applying for it simply re-confirms the VO's view.

I suggest you forget about re-applying for another student visa/permit for Canada in the foreseeable future. Your application will be declined.

I shoot from the hip.

Re: student visa rejected, will apply again,,,good idea?

Hi. It all depends on various factors if you are successful or not. There is no guarantees. On what bases is your husband in canada? What is your home country?

Study VISA got rejected ..On unreasonable grounds.. ?

Hello everyone

I applied for a study permit on with all my educational and financial documents, but to my utter surprise my application for study permit has been refused on some unreasonable grounds stating that my application along with my documents do not satisfy the visa granting authorities my proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of my qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other education opportunities available in India or Canada, language abilities, or my future prospects and plans.

These grounds seems to be unreasonable, reason being after doing my Senior Secondary I was keen to do Tourism and Travels course because in India Tourism industry is expanding a lot and there is lack of trained qualified professionals. Hence this course will immensely help me to boost my professional career in India, thus this course was not unreasonable in any ways and had a great relevance with my previous studies which I had already pursued.

Whereas the other reason on grounds of which I was refused was, that I was not able to satisfy that I will come back to India, regards to which I would like to tell that I can't even think in my wild dreams that I will not be coming back to my country . I want to remain close to my family in India after my study in Canada. The only thing I have in my mind is to study in Canada and come back to my country, which is mentioned clearly in the affidavit of support by my parents
My family is well established in India..My parents also have total net worth of Rs.1 Crore 75 Lacs (Approx) . My parents are parmanent Government Employees and Annual Income is Rs. 10 Lacs(Approx.). Ours is a small & economically sound family. My parents can well afford my study in Canada
. I have also cleared IELTS with 6 Bands. I have high proficiency of English language.

Now i got the visa rejected within 14 days i applied.....this reasons seems unremarkable for me so for this seems a big shock to me...all documents
where checked and right ....i would appriciate if anyone will help me out how to get this rejection statement once again checked n how can i get my study visa .My course is starting on 11 may and fees has been deposites in college.

thanks

Did you submit Study plan with your application? How old are you? Single/married? How many siblings do you have? Did you show any relatives in Canada? What was your previous studies? What were you going to study in canada?

@pirate. Learn to read posts without being personal. Carrying a chip on your shoulder. Well, the reasons were already laid out in a clear cut way by a visa officer. Course selection+home ties. I asked this question "how many siblings do you have?" I wanted to know if he were the only son of his parents so he is a sole care giver for his parents. No person with sane mind will leave their parents alone in their country because of security and other unforeseeable circumstances. If he were married, his wife would act as a home tie and would bring him back home. Also, he was going to spend a huge amount of money on a course which would not fetch him good salary. With the same money, he could peruse better qualifications in India which carry more value. Serious and smart students know their future goals very well. Persue education / course with keeping that in mind.

I raised questions in order to extract more info about his family and educational background. What's wrong with that? I did not advise him wrongly. Just raised simple questions for better understanding regarding his case.
