Study Visa Form Help Required!

Hello,

I want to apply for study visa for Jan17 intake.
For the question "Have you applied to enter or remain in Canadian" in the Study visa form, should the answer be 'yes', if you have made an express entry profile ?
I had created one last year, but since my score was low (435) I never got an ITA. So technically, I have not 'applied' for visa, but I have a profile. But I don't plan to pursue that, maybe after my PG, I might create again with increased points. But by giving 'yes' to this particular question, does the chances of study permit acceptance take a hit?

My concern also was if they check their database, they would find m in express entry and if that would cause any problems for the approval of study visa. Any help on this?
