Study Visa for Jan2018 intake

Hello
I have applied for my student study visa through Canada visa office ,Chandigarh on 19th Sept.
While tracking it using my tracking no through vfs global portal i am still getting the same sentence repeatedly i.e "visa application,tracking id __ is being processed at Canada visa office , Chandigarh,, to know more please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website ".
my qualification is :
10th - 87%
12th - 83% (NON- Med CBSE)
Btech (ECE) - 71%
Ielts - 8 bands
Work experience - 1year (Associate software engineer in a MNC)
Many fellow applicants who have applied after me have already heard back from the visa office. I am a bit anxious . Can someone please tell why my status is not changing and its been more than 20 days already how much longer may i have to wait ?
