Age is not a ground for rejection.
As long as you will comply cic requirement more chances of acceptance.

Go ahead and apply. I got mine at the age of 37. I had a gap of 17 years. But make a strong profile give reasons for each and every year with strong proof. You can get through.

Your citizenship also makes a difference. For example you are Italian you are less likely to be applying to remain in Canada.

i got 2 refusals of purpose of visit and recently 1 more refusal in university purpose if visit and proposed study , feeling disappointed at age 31 , and they have also say proposed study in recent refusal ,i feel myself finished now

at that age you should apply for EMBA, MBA or PhD
