Study visa approved but..

Hiya!

My student visa has been approved in 37 days, however my son's TRV is still being processed from 09.09.23. Since he is tied to me and clearly I am not going to travel without him, how does IRCC process TRV application for minors? Does IRCC somehow consider releasing decision at the same time although processing times for TRV from my country of origin is more than 4 months now. I heard of cases of TRV's immediate approval along with Student visa. How long do I need to wait?

@Naturgrl you used to give me some tips about enrolling my baby to a daycare way ahead of time, I did so, and got the visa approved. I am immensely grateful to you for your help.

TRVs can be processed separately so your permit may be approved but your son’s takes longer. So if processing is 4 months it may take that long. Glad you got daycare secured.
