Hi,

I am currently pursuing MBA from Brock University. I plan to take a purely online course which will be over before my MBA(ends Dec 2021) However, my study permit is due to expire in April 2021 which I am planning to get extended anyway. Under these circumstances, is it legal for me to take the online course which starts Aug 2020 and ends July 2021? Also would there be any problem during PR process?
I would really appreciate if someone could answer this question.

Thank you,
Jaiveer Turna

if it is all online due to COVID 19, there will be no issues. Otherwise, if it just all online throughout, it might affect your PGWP application since international students are only allowed 1 online class per semester(apart from the semesters that are considered scheduled breaks such as summer). Experts can help you better.

If you are just taking it for self interest and dont expect any immigration benefits from it it should be fine.

I don't expect any immigration benefits from it. I will be doing this course as a prerequisite to write the ICCRC Exam to become a licensed Immigration Consultant.
